Are you addicted to sugar?
Sugar addiction can happen without our noticing. Hidden sugars are everywhere. You may think you are eating relatively well, yet your diet could still be quite sugary.
Sugar is being increasingly found to be the root of many health problems. Previous generations did not consume anywhere near the level of sugar consumed today. Today, it is everywhere, in so many food products. It is necessary to make a conscious decision to avoid it. Sugar is linked to:
weight issues, obesity and overweight
lowered immunity and poor resistance to infection
inflammation, which itself is a root cause of disease
heart disease
cancer
Alzheimer’s disease
diabetes
weakened ability to adapt to the pressures of modern life and other afflictions
These disease are being increasingly recognised as ‘lifestyle’ diseases, meaning we can avoid them by taking better care of ourselves.
In addition, some people are ‘sugar-sensitive’, ie even more sensitive to the detrimental effects of sugar than non-‘sugar-sensitive’ types. Getting off sugar can be a tough challenge. I have done it myself. However, once you have beaten the addiction, the cravings disappear. I can help navigate the way for you and get you to the other side.
